Symptom

  1. Maintenance of fields ''Shelf Life'' or ''Required Minimum Shelf Life'' in the transaction /N/SAPAPO/MAT1 or /N/SCWM/MAT1 ends up with prompt message:

''Maximum length for input format (TTTT,tt) exceeded'' Message no. T9553

  1. Or an application (EWM) that uses the Shelf Life fields for calculation terminates with ST22 shortdump:
