2573428 - Dump tran command in script gets hung with status PLC Sleep for database having option "trunc log on chkpt" enabled. -- SAP ASE

Symptom

  • A process in the "PLC sleep" status on the saptools database with the command "DUMP TRANSACTION", which was triggered by the DBAcockpit - stored procedure saptools..SP_DBH_STMTCACHE.
  • As consequence the saptools database is not truncating the transaction log and other backups also get stuck.
