2573545 - How to avoid crash when IQ_SYSTEM_MAIN or IQ_SYSTEM_TEMP or user dbspaces are full - SAP IQ

Symptom

  • When a dbspace is full, SAP IQ is prone to crash.
  • Error log may show information such as:
    •  Allocation failed. Dbspace DB_SPACE1 is  OUT OF SPACE
    • Exception Thrown from slib/s_blockmap.cxx:15246, Err# 0, tid 791 origtid 478
      O/S Err#: 0, ErrID: 2096 (s_nodbspaceexception); SQLCode: -1009170, SQLState: 'QSB66', Severity: 14
      You have run out of space in DB_SPACE1 DBSpace. Current DBSpace size is XXXMB.

    • Warning, out of dbspace on DB_SPACE1 while writing dirty s_buf=0x7f25275b3bf0 errinfo=4 getCleanOnly=0 dbspaceToAvoid=16389
