Symptom

You are unable to edit/change the Customer details in Project with In planning status

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Project Management work center
  2. Go to Project view
  3. Search for the Project XYZ
  4. Choose Edit button and Project plan
  5. Now navigate to Accounting section
  6. Here you can see the Customer details are not editable

Cause

If the project is created from sales order the customer details are not editable.

If the project is associated with a sales order the customer details are not editable.

Resolution

If the project is not associated with a sales order, only then the customer details are editable. System works as deisgned.
