2574625 - KPI Tile Details Incorrect In Search or App Finder

Symptom

  • When using the Launchpad's Search tool the KPI Tile details are incorrect
  • As an example the amount may show as 0.0 M and the currency may be incorrect as well

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a new KPI tile following the guides for Smart Business Modeler Apps
  2. Once the tile is created and assigned you will be able to see the live data on the tile in the Launchpad
  3. Now use the Launchpad Search tool, or the App Finder to search for the tile
  4. In the search results the data will not be the correct live data

Cause

No data is requested when using the Search or App Finder tools, only the preview for the tile will be shown. Hence a generic format of the tile type has been displayed.

Resolution

  • This is expected behaviour
  • To view the data on the tile, view the tile on the Launchpad home page instead of using the Search or App Finder tools
  • The browser search can still be used to assist in finding the tile if many tiles are present on the Launchpad
