• What is the function of the setting, "Threshold for running Adoption of Reporting Line and Job Relationships as a job", which is located on the Hierarchy Adaption tab in Position Management Settings.
• While approving a workflow with position change system throws the error: Gateway Time-out

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

The field allows you to set a Threshold number, which when reached will create a scheduled job to carry out the Hierarchy Adaption.

• For this feature to be used, the position hierarchy needs to be the leading hierarchy.
• Once the number of incumbents of either child positions or matrix positions hits this number, the updates to the hierarchy or job relation will be carried out as a scheduled job.
• If the number falls below the number, then the update will happen immediately.
• Please note that if the number is 0, then it will never be triggered as a job.
• We recommend to set a value between 5 and 20.

Please Note:
The scheduled job that is triggered is the Job Information Import Follow Up Processing . 
If a user makes a change in the UI which triggers the job based on the threshold, they will receive the notification of completion associated to this job.

Configuring the Result Email for Only Errors

Configure the result email so that you only receive it if there's an error.

Note:By default, the system sends a result email for the follow-up processing in cases of both success and error. If you want to receive the result email only if there is an error, follow these steps:

Procedure

1. To configure the email notification, go to Admin Center, and in the Search Tools field, enter Company System and Logo Settings.
2. Select the email notification, Send result mail for Job Information import follow-up processing only if an error occurred.
3. Select Save Company Settings.
