2575019 - The Edit Without Business Role Function is Inactive

When trying to edit the access rights of a business user, the Edit Without Business Roles function is not active.

SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer (C4C) and SAP Business ByDesign (ByD)

In the Administrator (C4C) work center:

1. Navigate to the Administrator work center.
2. Go to the General Settings tab.
3. Click on Business Users.
4. Select the Business User you wish to amend.
5. Click Edit and choose Access Rights.
6. Go to Business Role Assignment tab.
7. Select Business Role you wish to remove.
8. The Edit Without Business Roles button is inactive.

 

In the Application and User Management Workcenter (ByD):

1. Navigate to the Application and User Management work center.
2. Go to Business Users view.
3. Select the Business User you wish to amend.
4. Click Edit and choose Access Rights.
5. Go to Business Role Assignment tab.
6. Select Business Role you wish to remove.
7. The Edit Without Business Roles button is inactive.

Whenever a business user is assigned as a substitute (or vice versa, i.e. has a substitute) then the Edit Without Business Role button will be disabled. This is to prevent inconsistency during substitution. This is a standard system behaviour.

The Edit Without Business Role function will be active again once the user is not a substitute or is being substituted by someone.
