2575355 - SLT - logging tables frequenty updated as delta changes are high

Symptom

  • You are replicating tables from SLT to Data services using ODP framework .
  • For one of the tables in source system the delta changes are very high and this in turn is captured in the logging tables and pushed to SLT server.
  • The number of records captured by the logging table is very high and this inturn is creating a large number of archive generation.
  • What would be the impact of de-activing logging , so that it bypasses the writing of the redo log , therfore significantly reduceing archive log generation.
