2575757 - Renaming the Learning URL

Request to rename the Learning URL.

1. Raise a new case to LOD-SF-LMS-SER >
2. Include the current URL which needs to be updated >
3. Clearly state the required new URL >
4. Attach Customer Approval [Please use Customer approval template attached].

Please Note: 

• Please note that this process takes approximately 14 working days.
• As per information provided by Operations team, only the Learning URL can be requested to change. The Company ID and Company Schema from the Learning tenant can't be changed.
• Also, per standard, for Learning tenants with suffix (e.g. Dev and Stage tenants), the customer can only change what's before of the given suffix ("-dev.lms.sapsf.com", "-stage.lms.hr.cloud.sap", etc). For example:
  
  Current URL: learning-dev.lms.hr.cloud.sap.
  New URL: lms-dev.lms.hr.cloud.sap.
  It cannot be lms.lms.hr.cloud.sap or lmsdev.lms.hr.cloud.sap etc. It has to follow the convention given to the original URL.

• In addition no capital letters are permitted in the URL. All text will be in lowercase.
• If the Learning environment is set up with IAS, the following IAS settings need to be updated by the customer with the new Learning URL:
  • Under Applications > LMS app > Home URL field.
  • Under Applications > LMS app > any LMS URLs on SAML 2.0 Configuration.
  • Under Identity Provisioning > Source Systems > LMS app > Properties tab > URL field.
  • Under Identity Provisioning > Target Systems > IAS app > Properties tab > ias.source.system.id.attribute field.
  • Under Identity Providers > LMS app > system ID and password validation URL field.

"sandbox" suffix exception: Standard instances (SaaS), not validated ones (vSaaS) (Introduction to vSaaS), aren’t to have this suffix anymore and modifications to this suffix are allowed. The SaaS instance needs to have the “sandbox” suffix either replaced with “stage”, if it belongs to the preview landscape, or removed, if it belongs to the prod. landscape.

With this information, SAP Support will collaborate with the Provisioning team to determine the appropriate next steps. After the adjustment, the updated information will appear on both the Learning URL and SAP for Me.

Aspects of the change:

• Please note that the new name cannot match any existing one > Ex.: from “company-sandbox.plateau” to “company1-stage.plateau” (preview landscape) | from “company-sandbox.plateau” to “company1.plateau” (prod. landscape).
• Please note that replacing “sandbox” with “test” isn’t possible.
• Please note that capital letters aren’t allowed.
