2575823 - Error "Enter Either a Location ID or a Logistics Area ID for Sequence DESTINATION_XYZ"

When trying to migrate Location and Logistics Area, you get one of the errors below in Simulate Import step.

 "Enter either a location ID or a logistics area ID for sequence SOURCE_XYZ"

 "Enter either a location ID or a logistics area ID for sequence DESTINATION_XYZ"

SAP Business ByDesign 1711 and higher.

1. Go to Business Configuration work center;
2. Search for Migration of Location and Logistics Area;
3. Open the activity;
4. Click Migrate Location and Logistics Area using the migration tool;
5. Select the migration template;
6. Click Execute Migration and choose Step by Step;
7. Receive the error in Simulate step.

If the error is related to DESTINATION, it is because you only have records for Source in "Location - Material Flow" tab of your template. As per the standard behavior, currently system does not support the material flow creation without the destination rule maintained. The same applies if the error is related to SOURCE and you only have records for Destination in "Location - Material Flow" tab of your template.

It is mandatory to maintain both the Source & the Destination for the material flow rules.

If you already have the Source record maintained in your template, you should also add the record for Destination. If you do not wish to have destination, you can do so by maintaining both the source and the destination during migration and delete the destination entries from the UI.

The same applies if you only have Destination record maintained, then you should also add the record for Source.
