Symptom

You try to add an involved party to a sales lead and you receive the following error message: 'Please report an case. Party instance is inconsistent.'

Environment

SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales work center.
  2. Go to the Sales Leads view.
  3. Open a sales lead.
  4. Go to the Involved Parties facet.
  5. Click on New.
  6. Select the Name value help and select a business partner.
  7. The following error message is shown: 'Please report an case. Party instance is inconsistent.'

Cause

The role of the involved party has not been selected beforehand.

Resolution

  1. Go to the Sales work center.
  2. Go to the Sales Leads view.
  3. Open a sales lead.
  4. Go to the Involved Parties facet.
  5. Click on New.
  6. Open the dropdown list for Role and select a value.
  7. Select the Name value help and select a business partner.
