Security Assertion Markup Language Configuration Issues with Custom Identity Provider in SAP Analytics Cloud (formerly known as SAP BusinessObjects Cloud / BOC)

2506765 - HTTP Status 422 - Unable to verify login context in SAP Analytics Cloud

2482920 - SAML Single Sign On setting cannot be reverted back to the deafult SAP Cloud ID in SAP Analytics Cloud

• SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Successfully configure a Custom SAML Identity Provider in SAP Analytics Cloud
2. Successfully authenticate for some time with a Custom SAML Identity Provider in SAP Analytics Cloud
3. Attempt to make a change to SAML configuration (New User, Update Certificate, Change Identity Provider)
4. Notice the workflow fails

Settings were inadvertently changed on the back end.

For new users created between November 30, 2017 and December 8, 2017 that failed to activate:

1. Connect to SAP Analytics Cloud tenant as the System Owner
2. Select “Security > Users” from the “Main Menu”
3. Select the row for the affected user
4. Click "Resend Invitation Email"

For failures with Dynamic User Creation:

1. Connect to SAP Analytics Cloud tenant as the System Owner
2. Select “System > Administration” from the “Main Menu”
3. Click “Security”
4. Click “Edit”
5. Check “Dynamic User Creation” under “Step 3: Choose a user attribute to map your identity provider”
6. Click “Save”
