2576581 - Global Assignment applied to Compensation - Compensation Management

Symptom

Can a user who is on Global Assignment be in two Compensation Form?

Environment

Successfactors Compensation Management

Resolution

Yes, user who is on Global Assignment will be in two Compensation Form.

  • Let’s consider a Manager "Planner A" and his direct report "Employee" and we set this employee as on Global Assignment in another country or Company within the organization, the system will create a second user "Employee –1" as a Host user with the data that applies to that assignment (Job Information, Compensation Information,…). This new user in the system will have a different Manager "Planner B". If we create Compensation forms for all employees in the organization there will be a form for "Planner A" that will include the Home user "Employee" and another form for "Planner B" including Host user "Employee –1". That also applies to a Second Manager hierarchy.

  • Another issue that customer's can encounter when having a user with a Global Assignemnt and Host Assignment is that one of these users will be absent from the form even though everything appears correctly. In this scenario customers need to make sure the user is a valid EC user. According to Provisioning->"Check Valid EC Users" , a user could be missing for example an effective Job Info and Employment Info, thus not an valid EC user. Please be noticed that non-EC users will not be included in any EC forms. If you do not hace access to Provisioning please contact your Implementation Partner or raise a ticket with Customer Support for them to verify the issue.
