You would receive an application error when trying to import user (Basic Import).

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Go to Import Employee Data
2. Select Import Data
3. In "select an entity" choose "Basic Import"
4. Browse the correct file
5. Import

Failed to add/update user [XXX] "XXX" (N/A;N/A;N/A): User License Limit is exceeded.

Configuration issue

• If Company Edition is set to "Enterprise Edition", it means SAP does not limit the number of users in the system.
• In Provisioning, option "Enforce license maximum and display alert" is selected for “User License Enforcement Options”.  When the number of active users reaches a threshold number, the error message is displayed.

1. Go to provisioning
2. Go to Company Settings
3. Section "User License Enforcement Options", change to "No maximum user alert and no enforce ".

Customer Action:

• As a customer, you don't have access to Provisioning. To complete tasks in Provisioning, contact your implementation partner. If you're no longer working with an implementation partner, contact SAP Cloud Support.
• Customer must provide written approval for above task (Section "User License Enforcement Options", change to "No maximum user alert and no enforce ")
