2577543 - Future Terminated Employee Does Not Appear in Rehire Inactive List

If you terminate someone with termination effective date in the future they will not show in the rehire inactive employee list until the first day after termination, so they will not appear until they are effectively terminated.

SAP SuccessFactor Employee Central

1. Terminate a given Employee with effective termination date in the future.

2. Approve all workflows for this termination record.

3. Go into Admin Center > Rehire Inactive Employee > search for your user

You will not find this user, as his termination is in the future so today he is still active.

An employee will only appear in this list if, on the day you are searching, he is inactive and terminated.

Workarounds if you want to add a rehire event after a future termination:

• Use Job History Import: add the termination and the rehire events with the correct effective dates, or
• Rehire Inactive Employee (by 'match' in New Hire)

• Make use of Concurrent Employment feature. Add the rehire details as a concurrent employment; when adding the concurrent employment details make sure you set this new employment as main by answering No to the question "Set as secondary employment for all SuccessFactors processes?", so you can terminate the main employment later.
