2578480 - Unable to edit online content settings for the item

The admin cannot edit online content settings for an item in SuccessFactors Learning.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Access Learning Administration 
2. Navigate to Learning Activities-> Items
3. Search for item and open the record
4. Select 'Online Content' tab-> Click 'Settings'
5. Noticed that the settings are readable but not editable

It is possible that the admin's role does not include the 'Edit Online Settings' permission.

To edit the online content settings for items, you must assign the 'Edit Online Settings' permission to the admin role.

To identify the admin's role, follow the steps below:

1. Access Learning Administration
2. Navigate to System Administration-> Security-> Administrators 
3. Search for the admin and open record
4. Select 'Assigned Role' tab
5. Copy the Role ID

Add permission to the role:

1. Access Learning Administration
2. Navigate to System Administration-> Security-> Role Management.
3. Search for the Role (copied in the previous step) and open the record in edit mode.
4. Select "Permissions" Tab
5. Click the link 'add one or more from list'
6. Locate the permission 'Edit Online Settings' and select the checkbox
7. Click 'Add'-> Ok
