Prevent users from seeing Payroll Information

How can the Payroll Information portlet be hidden?
- Although no payroll data is shown, the Payroll Information portlet is still visible. Can it be removed?

Resolution

Via Admin Center > View User Permissions for the user you do not want to see the portlet and validate what roles they have, for example:
- Use Manage Permission Roles to remove Employee Views > Payroll and Benefits from EACH role the user falls under (uncheck and save):

This resolution is based upon the Payroll Information block falling under (being a subsection of) Payroll and Benefits in a standard People Profile configuration:
Admin Center > Configure People Profile > Payroll and Benefits > Payroll Information
- In the standard configuration above, disabling Payroll and Benefits in RBP will also hide Payment Information and Benefits Overview.
- If you only want to hide Payroll Information, make it a section by itself (not a subsection of another) and permission it accordingly.
- If you make Payroll Information a subsection of another section, Employment Information for example, any employee who has permissions to see the section, in this case Employment Information, will see Payroll Information. This doesn't necessarily mean the data can be viewed (depending on other RBP settings), but the Payroll Information subsection itself can still be seen:
