2578846 - Error The Dragged Mashup Component Can Only Be A Inscreen Mashup

Symptom

The following error comes up when trying to create a mashup within an Embedded Component on the UI Designer:

The dragged mashup component can only be a inscreen mashup.

Environment

SAP Cloud Applications Studio
SAP Cloud for Customer

Cause

This happens because the mashup you are trying to create is a URL mashup with a viewstyle as "newWindow". This means it can be opened as an external link in a new window, which is why this is not allowed to be put into an Embedded Component.

Resolution

In order to create a mashup within an Embedded Component you have to create a HTML mashup of type URL.
