2579120 - Error 624 - Transaction dump cannot complete or be killed - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Transaction dump is unable to complete
  • Trying to terminate the process is unsuccessful
  • Need to restart the server to end the process
  • Error Log displays the following errors:

Error: 624, Severity: 21, State: 1
Adaptive Server failed to retrieve a row via its RID in database '<database name>' because the requested RID has a higher number than the last RID on the page. Rid pageid = 0x6c41d; row num = 0x38. Page pointer = 0x0x238f3e000, pageno = 443421, status = 0x1, ptnid = 8, indexid = 0, level = 0.

Error: 6103, Severity: 17, State: 1
Unable to do cleanup for the killed process; received Msg 3300.
