2579539 - Technical error APILU_MESSAGES 031

An error message 'Technical error APILU_MESSAGES 031; report an case' appears while trying to save a Pack Delivery transaction in Outbound Delivery.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Outbound Logistics Work Center.
2. Navigate to the Outbound Deliveries view.
3. Search for the outbound delivery you wish and select the line.
4. Choose the button Packing.
5. Choose the button Insert Packages and select the option Insert Top Packages.
6. Select the Logistics Unit ID.
7. Select the material to be packed and choose the button Pack into Package.
8. Choose the button Save or Save and Print, then the mentioned message would occur.

The prerequisites checkboxes are not scoped in the business configuration, the system shows this error message as expected.

To resolve/ avoid the error, please follow the steps below to ensure that the prerequisites checkboxes are marked:

1. Go to the Business Configuration Work Center.
2. Navigate to the Implementation Projects View.
3. Select the line of the project.
4. Choose the button Edit Project Scope.
5. Click the button Next till the Step 3 Scoping.
6. Expand Manufacturing, Warehousing and Logistics -> Tracking Tracing and Identification.
7. Make sure that the checkbox of Handling of Logistics Units is scoped.
8. Click the button Next till the Step 4 Questions.
9. Ensure that the question Do you want to pack into logistics units creating package IDs based on outbound deliveries? is marked.
10. Click the button Next.
11. Choose the button Accept Preselected Answers.
12. Choose the button Finish.

After this, the error wouldn't occur while packing outbound delivery.
