Symptom

  • CMD_EI_API=>MAINTAIN_BAPI does not create or update customer master records
  • Table KNA1 is not updated after COMMIT WORK
  • Locks on KNA1 are not released after execution
  • No error or exception is raised; records are silently skipped
  • Issue occurs only in systems where Customer/Vendor Integration (CVI) is active
