Identified stock is a mandatory field when confirming an unload task, but type is maintained as "3 - optional identified stock" in material master data.

SAP Bydesign All versions

1. Go to Inbound Logistics Work Center.
2. Go to Task Control view.
3. Show All and find task XXX (XX stands for load task ID).
4. Click Confirm.
5. For product ABC (ABC stands for the product ID), identified stock is a mandatory field

You expect that identified stock is an optional field because in product ABC's master data identified stock type is maintained as "3 - optional identified stock".

In the related purchase order YYY (YYY stands for purchase order ID), you have entered production specification for the product ABC , once production specification is enabled, the identified stock is mandatory in the unload task.

This is standard system behavior.
