2581174 - Signal 11 in sqt__copy_chunks() after ELC_VALIDATION_ERROR - SAP ASE 16.0

Symptom

  • After the ELC_VALIDATION_ERROR error was reported for several processes in the ASE errorlog:

ELC_VALIDATION_ERROR: Page address not aligned to memory page size. memptr = 0x2aac52442059, pelc = 0x2aaaae051a90

  • ASE reported an "Infected with signal 11" error in the module sqt__copy_chunks() followed by a stack trace:

Current process (0x12b50199) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x0000000001f62fef (sqt__copy_chunks+0x22f), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x0000000052442069)

  • The stack trace includes functions:

sqt__copy_chunks
sqt_write
lwp_create
proccreate
s_crtproc
