2582442 - Steps to follow after renewing your SAP Analytics Cloud certificate

After reading the FAQ on renewing your SAP Analytics Cloud Certificate (KBA 2542839), you clicked the renew button and downloaded the new metadata.xml file with the new certificate.

Extract the new cerfiticate

First, you need to extract the certificate from the metadata.xml

1. Open metadata.xml with a text editor
2. Copy the line between the tags: <X509Certificate> and </X509Certificate>
3. Save it in a new file with .cer or .crt extension. For example: sac_certificate.crt

These are some examples to update your existing SAML Identity Providers:

Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS)

1. Open AD FS and select Trust Relationships > Relying Party Trusts
2. Select the entry for your SAP Analytics Cloud tenant
3. Right click and select Properties
4. Go to the Signature tab
5. Click on Add to add the new signature
6. Remove the old one

SAP Cloud Identity Authorization Services (IAS)

1. Open your SAP IAS administration: https://nameofyouraccount.accounts.ondeman.com/Admin
2. Navigate to Aplications & Resources > Applications > Name_You_Decided_for_SAC > SAML 2.0 Configuration. In Signing Certificate, upload the new certificate file: sac_certificate.crt
3. You should see that new certificate validity
