2582461 - Cancellation Email Notification not sent after cancellation of Approved Absences

Symptom

Cancellation Email Notifications not sent for intended workflow recipients after Approved absences are cancelled. For Pending absences that are being cancelled, notifications are sent.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central 2.0
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Time Off
  • v12 / People Profile (PP3)

Cause

This is an expected system behavior.

Resolution

In Time Off, system does not generate emails. All email notifications are only sent out as a result of workflow changes (approval, cancellation, etc.)

  • If 'Pending' absences is cancelled, the open workflow request is also cancelled, hence, workfow cancelllation notification would be sent.
  • If Cancellation Workflow setting is activated on time type and when 'Approved' absence is cancelled, cancellation workflow would be created and once the same workflow is completed, email notification will also be sent.
  • If Cancellation Workflow setting is not activated on the time type, no email notification will be sent out as previously approved workflow request is not updated.
