2584240 - Cannot connect from Studio to project - SAP HANA Streaming

Symptom

  • When trying to connect from SAP HANA Studio to a SAP HANA Smart Data Streaming (SDS) project that is running on a different host, the connection fails with a pop-up error message of:

Failed call to:https://<myhost-without-domain>:<port>/RPC2 (Failed to read server's response:
Connection timed out: connect (port <port> to address <host-ip-address>)

  • But when trying to connect from Studio installed on a server in the same domain as the Streaming host, the connection succeeds.
