2584302 - Filters do not get applied correctly in SAP Analytics Cloud

• When using a Live Data Connection to SAP BW, the filters do not get applied properly in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

• SAP Analytics Cloud
• Live Data Connection
• SAP Business Warehouse

1. Logon to SAP Analytics Cloud.
2. Open a Story where filters should be applied.
3. Change or apply the filter selection.
4. Notice that the data is not getting filtered properly.
   
   

• This is a by design behavior. 
• Selecting a top node will always keep the child node.

• You need to explicitly exclude the child members. 
• On BW-side you can set the child members to "always hide".
