Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Time Administration work center.
  2. Select the Employees view.
  3. Mark the relevant employee.
  4. Choose Edit.
  5. Select the Time Profile tab.
  6. Mark the row of the relevant Time Profile.
  7. An exception occurs.

Cause

For this Time Profile, a Schedule Model is maintained as Predefined Work Schedule. This Schedule Model is associated with a Period Model. In this case, the Period Model must include all seven weekdays. But at least one weekday is not maintained. Therefore the Schedule Model becomes inconsistent.

Resolution

First maintain the missing workday(s) for the relevant Period Model:

  1. Go to the Time Administration work center.
  2. Select the Time Models view.
  3. Click on the relevant Period Model.
  4. Add a row for every missing workday and maintain properties.
  5. Choose Save.

Now run a Day Closure Run for all affected employees:

  1. Go to the Time Administration work center.
  2. Select the Regular Tasks view.
  3. Click on Run Day Closure for one Employee.
  4. Select the affected Employee.
  5. Flag the action Set Period Closure Date and maintain current date.
  6. Select Save.
  7. Now flag the action Start Time Valuation and choose Run.
  8. As Valuation Start Date, maintain the start date of the Time Profile.
  9. Choose OK and Save.
