Symptom
When working with Opportunities or Leads the field 'Status Since' is showing random dates.
You might get the warning message "Start date 12.06.2020 is after status since date 27.05.2017" when updating Leads or Opportunities.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
-
Go to the Sales work center.
- Go to the Opportunities view.
- Open Opportunity ABC (ABC represents the ID of the Opportunity).
- Check the field Status Since, you want to understand the reason of this date.
Cause
The field does not show random dates, but shows the date since the last status change.
Resolution
The field Status Since is used to show the date since the Opportunity (or Lead) status was last changed to the current status.
E.g: Status Since value is 25/08/2017 and Status value is 'In Progress', that means that the Opportunity has been in the Status 'In Progress' since 08/25/2017 and has not changed since then.
