2586331 - Auto Assign Functionality Of Surveys In Sales Documents

Symptom

You have created Surveys and enabled the Assign Automatically flag in the Activity Plan. Further, in the Routing Rule you have set up to assign the Surveys to sales documents such as Leads, Sales Quotes, Opportunities based on the condition.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

Prerequisite:

  • Create Surveys from the Surveys work center -> Surveys view.
  • Create Activity Plan from the Activity Planner work center -> Plans view (ensure that you have enabled Assign Automatically Flag).
  • From Activity Planner work center -> Routing Rules view -> Create Activity Routing Rule for Business Application: Leads (for example).
  1. Now, Go to the Sales Work Center -> Leads View.
  2. Click New to create a Lead that fulfills the conditions defined in the Routing Rule.
  3. Save and Open the Lead.
  4. Navigate to the Surveys tab.

You notice that the Surveys are missing. When you choose the Add button manually then the respective surveys appear. However, since the Auto Assign flag is enabled you expect the Surveys to be displayed automatically.

Cause

This is the expected system behaviour. The Auto Assign surveys functionality needs an additional step for the Surveys to be displayed automatically.

Resolution

Apart from enabling the flag, you should also create a workflow rule to enable the feature.

  1. Go to Administrator work center.
  2. Choose Workflow Rules view.
  3. Click New.
  4. Choose Business Object as Leads in this example.
  5. Choose the Timing as On Create Only .
  6. Move to Define Actions step.
  7. Choose Rule type as Actions.
  8. Choose action Refresh from Activity Plan.
  9. Choose Activate .
  10. Choose Finish.
