2586888 - Not Possible to Limit the Excel Export of Activity Report to Visible Columns

You are exporting the Activity Report from the Self-Service time sheet to Excel. However even when exporting only the visible columns, the exported file contains other columns that were hidden.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Home work center.
2. Enter the Self Services Overview view.
3. Click on Edit Time Sheet.
4. Click on the button View Activity Report.
5. Click on the avatar icon on the top right of the screen, and click on Start Personalization Mode.
6. Remove the visibility for one or more UI elements and save.
7. Click on the avatar icon on the top right of the screen, and click on Stop Personalization Mode.
8. Click on Export, then click on To Microsoft Excel.
9. On the Export Column dropdown list, select Visible.
10. Click on Download.
11. After the download is completed, open the created Excel file.

Here you can see that the file includes all UI elements, not only the ones which are visible in the UI.

Due to technical limitation, the standard activity report Excel export includes all columns of the template and cannot be limited to visible elements only.

The system works as expected.
