2587204 - Collecting logs for SAP Cloud for Customer Outlook Add-in or SAP Business ByDesign Outlook Add-in

Symptom

The logs for SAP Business ByDesign Outlook Add-in or SAP Cloud for Customer Outlook Add-in are required to be collected.

  • Microsoft Outlook Add-in for SAP Business ByDesign
  • Microsoft Outlook Add-in for SAP Cloud for Customer

Resolution

To collect the logs from the Outlook Add-In, follow the steps below:

  1. In the Microsoft Outlook client, navigate to the add-in.
  2. Click the Help button and then Increase Log Level. The Increase Log Level functionality will enable the recording of logs by the add-in while the activity is perform.

  3. Perform the required activities to reproduce the issue.
  4. Click the Help button and then Show Log File Directory. This will redirect to the folder path where the log files are stored.

  5. The .log file can be found inside the folder path of the below image.



  6. Repeat step 2 now to disable the Increase Log Level. It is important to disable the Increase Log Level function after the above steps to avoid impacts to the performance.
