2587494 - "No Byte Encoding" error message when uploading a True Type font

Symptom

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

 

A True Type font file is uploaded with the description of these documents:

  • SAP Note #1605966 - "Upload True Type fonts to SAP for use in forms"
  • SAP Note #201307 - "TrueType fonts for Smart Forms or SAPscript"

 

The upload fails due to error message "Error No Byte Encoding - TrueType import impossible".
