2588197 - Error Message 'No Check Storage Exists for the Company' when creating New Incoming Check

A check storage has been maintained for Company ID ABC (where ABC represents the Company ID). However, when a new incoming check is created, the following error message is still displayed:

'No check storage exists for the company. Create a check storage for the company in the Liquidity Management work center. Choose the Master Data view then the Check Storages subview'

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Liquidity Management work center.
2. Select the New Incoming Check common task.
3. Complete the mandatory fields.
4. Click on Post.

Then system reports error: 'No check storage exists for the company. Create a check storage for the company in the Liquidity Management work center. Choose the Master Data view then the Check Storages subview'.

Check master data for Check Storage.

1. Go to the Liquidity Management work center.
2. Select the Check Storage view.
3. Show All Check Storages and find the Company ID ABC.
4. See that the status of it is Active. Click Edit, it can be seen that the Company ID is correct and the Location Type is Bank.

If Check Storage is maintained as Bank, it will be used in lockbox processing. To create incoming checks within the system, the Check Storage must be maintained with the Location Type as Internal.

A new Check Storage must be created for this company. Please follow these steps:

1. Go to work center Liquidity Management.
2. Select view Check Storage.
3. Select New - Check Storage.
4. Complete the relevant fields and choose Location Type as Internal.
