2588514 - Error Message: "You can change the address of the ship-to location, however, you are not permitted to change the country."

You would like to change the Ship-To address in an Outbound Delivery 999(where 999 is the Outbound Delivery ID) which is in Not Released state.

After you change the Ship-To address, an error occurs:
"You can change the address of the ship-to location, however, you are not permitted to change the country ."

SAP Business Bydesign

1. Go to the Outbound Logistics work center.
2. Go to the Outbound Deliveries view.
3. Show all and search Outbound Delivery 999.
4. Click Edit.
5. Navigate to the General tab.
6. Click on the Ship - To address.
7. Change Country A to Country B.
8. Click Save.

You receive an error message " You can change the address of the ship-to location, however, you are not permitted to change the country ."

By the time the Outbound Delivery is created, the goods are already packed as per country specific shipping instructions.

It is late to change the Delivery Address, however the system still allows this for any last minute changes as this may be a small change in the maintained address (such as to leave the delivery with a neighbour.) But changing the country will surely lead to re-doing the warehouse operations hence this is not supported.

This is a standard system behavior.
