2588935 - Excel Import: How to import List of Values - SAP PD

Symptom

  • Using the Excel Import feature, we want to load a country list in List of values (on a domain) and set the Value and the Label. See the tab Standard Checks in Domain Properties.
  • The format of List of value is specific:
    • a value is separated from a label by a "TAB" character (ascii=09). A Carriage return separate lines.
  • In the spreadsheet for import we created a new domain definition. In the ListOfValues column, we added a list of value label pairs. When we import the file into SAP PowerDesigner (PD), all data is imported into the Value column.
  • How should the Microsoft Excel file be formatted to import the List of values (Value and Label)?
