2588965 - Stacktrace & SSL errors after migrating from AIX to LINUX

Symptom

  • ASE was migrated from AIX to Linux. 
  • SSL is enabled SAP ASE
  • JAVA applications fail producing a stacktrace and SSL errors.
  • The same stored procedures run locally are not a problem. 
  • A portion of the stacktrace and SSL related errors is shown next:

    kernel SSL or Crypto Error Message: 'An I/O error occurred during the underlying SSL operation. Check your I/O callback handler return values and error codes.'.
    kernel SSL or Crypto Error Info: psn 236, vsn 2714, sockp 0x2aabb9d0a580 error id 302, severity -2, provider id 0.
    kernel SSL or Crypto Error Message: 'The SSL handshake failed. Root error: SYSCALL'.
