2589336 - j2eeinst.lst exits with error code -1

Symptom

During Diagnostics Agent installation SWPM stops and an error message is displayed similar to following:

An error occurred while processing option Generic Installation Options > Diagnostics in SAP Solution Manager > Install - Diagnostics Agent( Last error reported by the step: Process call 'X:\usr\sap\DAA\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64\sapcpe.exe stdoutput pf=X:/usr/sap/DAA/SYS/profile/DAA_SMDA<NR>_hostname list:X:\usr\sap\DAA\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64/j2eeinst.lst' exits with error code -1. For details see log file(s) sapcpe_sapinst.log.)

Further details in sapcpe_sapinst.log:

*** ERROR: File-List "X:\usr\sap\DAA\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64/j2eeinst.lst" does not exist, 2, No such file or directory, [sapxxcpe.c:1481]
parameter "all" is also not defined. Exit.
