2589366 - Possibility of Default or Remove Field Transfer Event Reason - SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

When you are terminating a manager/supervisor, there is a required "Transfer Event Reason" field. Is it possible to default the value or remove this field?

Terminate a manager/supervisor and you may find a required "Transfer Event Reason" field.

• The is no way to default the value of this field if Position Hierarchy is not defined in Position Management Settings; it must be manually selected on each termination action. 
• The requirement of the field is conditional based on your configuration:

1. If you use "Enable Business Rules for Event Reason Derivation", the Transfer Event Reason field is not required and will not be displayed in the Termination portlet. The Transfer Event Reason will be derived via your configured Business Rules.
2. If Position Hierarchy is defined as the Leading Hierarchy in Position Management Settings, the Event Reason will come from that configuration and won't be selected.
3. If you use neither position leading hierarchy or business rule for event reason derivation and manually select both Event And Event Reason values in the MSS UI (Change Job And Compensation Information), the Transfer Event Reason field will be displayed as a required field in the Termination portlet. There is no option to set this value via business rules as this is a system delivered field which is not defined in the data model. This field can therefore not be reached via business rules or hidden via any other setting in the system.
