2589457 - "Folder XXXXX should exists relative to the logged in user home directory..." error - Integration Center

An outbound (export) Integration Center (IC) job is throwing the error below while trying to connect to the informed SFTP:

"Folder XXXXXX should exists relative to the logged in user home directory and user should have write access to the folder. Failed due to Cannot store file:XXXXXX\XXXXXX"

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access Integration Center;
  2. Run the Integration manually or let it run on its scheduled time;
  3. At Review and Run tab, click on the Last Run Time field link to open the Execution Manager;
  4. Observe the error;

This error message can happens due to several reasons:

  • Cause 1: The folder name informed (under Destination Settings tab > File Folder field) does not match the folder name maintained on the SFTP Server;
  • Cause 2: The user informed (under Destination Settings tab > SFTP User Name field) doesn't have write permission in the SFTP folder you informed;
  • Cause 3: Your integration is exporting attachments but it's not properly set;
  • Cause 4: The issue may arise from an incorrect directory specified in the file folder field, causing SuccessFactors to access the directory directly and duplicate the path. For example, it might appear as "/file_xxx/file_xxx/test".

To resolve Cause 1:

Align the SFTP and IC integration folders names.

To resolve Cause 2:

At SFTP Server, you need to grant the write permission on the folder to the user informed.

To resolve Cause 3:

Refer to the KBA 3246373 resolutions.

To resolve Cause 4:

To resolve this issue in the Integration Center, ensure that you only input the specific directory where the file resides or where you intend to place the file. For instance, if the file is located in "/file_xxx/test", input only "/test" in the File Folder field

Note: Make sure to reset the integration schedule under the Scheduling section if you want these changes take place.
