2589713 - Error While Trying to Update Opportunity Involved Parties Using the Mass Data Maintenance

When trying to update involved parties in an opportunity using the Mass Data Maintenance, the following error message appears:

Update not possible; specified data for OPPORTUNITY-ALL_PARTY with key PARTY_KEY-PARTY_ID-CONTENT = `XXX` AND RO does not exist (XXX represents the ID of the party).

SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer - all versions.

1. Enter the Mass Data Maintenance work center.
2. Click on Import Opportunities
3. Select the file to be uploaded.
4. In the dropdown list, select Involved Parties
5. Click on Upload
6. After the validation, click on Execute Import -> Immediatelly

This error message is raised because you are trying to import a party with a role that does not exist in the respective opportunity.

The Mass Data Maintenance work center is meant to update data that already exists in the system. It is not possible to insert a new party with a new role code.

In order to insert a party ID with a new role code that is not currently present in the opportunity, use the enhancement mode of the Migration Tool.
