Symptom

  • Upgrading ASE using SAP Note 1599814
  • Current ASE is older than 15.7 SP100
  • Upgrade fails with following messages in the ASEUP log:

Unlocking the sa user
Login to ASE server <SID> with login sa failed
Please ensure you type the correct password for sa
Re-execute this script with the -DNO_INSTALL parameter
