2590038 - Application error : Script error when mapping model with geo map in SAP Analytics Cloud

Symptom

  • Not possible to create a model containing a geo map
  • Cannot delete the geo map dimension either
  • Click on geo map dimension shows error below

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)  2018.01
  • SAP Business Intelligence 4.x (universe connection)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a model M with a universe connection containing a geo map dimension
  2. Copy the model M . Name it M2. (Notice Data source cannot be changed in M2)
  3. Import data into M2 . Notice you can view and edit Data source now)
  4. In the modeler you cannot finish the mapping because of the geo map error above

Cause

  • This issue is currently under investigation by Development.
