2590244 - Dynamic date ranges cannot be defined properly in SAP Analytics Cloud

Symptom

  • Dynamic date ranges cannot be defined properly when using "Look Back" or "Look Ahead" options in SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • "Include Range up to Current Period" has been set to "Off". 

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Logon to SAP Analytics Cloud.
  2. Open the Story. 
  3. Set Dynamic Date Range for Time.
  4. Try to use "Look Back" or "Look Ahead" options. 
  5. Make sure that "Include Range up to Current Period" is set to "Off".
  6. Notice that the Current Period is still included (as an example below the end date should be December 2017):

  • This is a by design behavior.

  • The feature is currently evaluated by development and product management.
