2590841 - Document ID is Not Bringing Data in The Value Help

You have created a report based on the data source Material Supply and Demand List (SCMMSDVV02) and you added the field Document ID in the selection area. However, when you click on value help and try to search the information that you need, you noticed that no data is showing up and you've got only an empty screen, even though you do have Document ID information in your report.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Business Analytics work center and Design Reports view.
2. Show All and Find XYZ report.
3. Open the report.
4. Click on Value Help for Document ID.
5. Go to Value Selection.
6. See that the system is not bringing any Document ID.

The value help for Document ID has been removed since the that the data source Material Supply and Demand List (SCMMSDVV02) is related to planning. The value help will work correctly with the key field for this data source, such as: Material ID, Planning area ID and Product Requirement Specification. When  Document ID is entered without any of the key fields, the system basically fetches all the Document IDs in the system related to planning and causes performance issues when there is large amount of data, as value help keeps loading for minutes.

In order to select Document IDs in the report, you need to enter them manually into the selection area, and the report will bring you the results properly.
