Symptom
Unable to create dynamic groups based on country.
What can be the cause of this and how can it be corrected?
**Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental**
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Compensation
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to Compensation Home> Actions for All plans> Groups Assignments> Manage dynamic groups> Create New.
- Create a group based on country criteria. For example, country = IND.
- The system shows active group membership as 0 despite having users that belong to country IND.
Cause
The issue is because of the values in the country column of the UDF file.
In the succession data model, the country field is assigned to a picklist. Therefore, the values for the country column should be the values in the picklist.
Resolution
- Export the pick-list file from "picklist management". Here, you can see the optionid for country "IND" is "180".
- Export the UDF file and change the values in the country column to match the optionid value.
- Import the UDF file and now you will be able to see the users in the dynamic groups.
