2591142 - Poor Performance and Deadlocks under Load observed due to Missing Database Keys

Symptom

  • Frequent deadlocks in the CMS Database
  • No primary keys are created on CMS_Infoobjects7 table
  • No primary keys are created on CMS_Relations7 table
  • Possible, non-exhaustive list of queries which may be observed to cause deadlocks:
    • UPDATE CMS_InfoObjects7 SET ParentID = :1, Version = :2, LastModifyTime = :3, CRC = :4, Properties = EMPTY_BLOB() WHERE ObjectID = :6 AND Version = :7 RETURNING Properties INTO :5
    • SELECT ObjectID, Version FROM CMS_InfoObjects7 WHERE ObjectID IN (<ObjectID>) FOR UPDATE
  • Slow navigation/interaction within BI launchpad and CMC
