2592643 - Work Permit Brazil does not support legal document type requirements

Certain documents in Brazil has special numbers and/or characters that are separated from the document number.

These special characters differ from one document to another and work permit portlet does not support using different set of digits based on the document type.

Please see the example below to explain better the symptom:

1. Example one: For document type Drivers license Brazil needs to store the drivers category (A, B, C, D, E, AB, AC, AD, AE) and the Issuing State fields.
2. Example two: CTPS has a field Serie which is needed to be stored as a separate number other than the document number since this series will be different number or letter for each state or each city.
3. Example three: BRA - Voter Eligibility Document this document should have the details like voter card area , voting section & issuing state details maintained

Furthermore 1711 master picklist does not have Drivers License defined by category, also there is not state field for this document type

Product Limitation

Currently this is a product limitation that has already been addressed in an enhancement request

Currently there is no target release date for this enhancement but you can reach out to SAP CSMs or support to ask for future updates on the enhancement ECT-85191.

The current workaround for this limitation is:

1. Add each documents that you want in your own picklist and upload it to the system.
2. Also additional fields can be added to the work permit portlet to provide the data.

Note: The limitation here is that the fields are displayed for all documents, but the customer can maintain per document only the fields that are necessary for the selected document.
