2592757 - HANA Basic How-To Series - Securing HANA XS classic via SSL / TLS / HTTPS - using sapgenpse and pse container (OpenSSL Edition) - SYSTEMDB

Symptom

This KBA is part of the HANA Basic How-To Series and will talk about creating and implementing an SSL / TLS Certificate for HANA to secure HTTP traffic, like HANA cockpit via XS. The CSR creation and certificate implementation is done via "sapgenpse" and using OpenSSL as Certificate Authority (CA).

It is an alternative method to KBA 2502174 using the SAP Web Dispatcher Administrator which is more comfortable to use. The following KBAs will also use the Web Dispatcher Administrator and using sapgenpse is here only shown as possible alternative.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
