2593154 - "Porting factory for ADAPTIVE SERVER ENTERPRISE database not defined" during installation/system copy

Symptom

The installation or system copy/target installation of a NetWeaver 7.02 based system using Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM) fails with error:

"Java EE Engine configuration error. DIAGNOSIS: See output of log file extractBootstrap.log: '
Can not get DB connection. Batchconfig will only be able to execute offline tasks."

in step runBatchconfig.
